November 24 Safety News! FHWA Safety Rules

If you're working in the Federal-aid highway right-of-way, there are new rules that take effect on November 24, 2008.

On November 24, 2008, according to the Federal Highway Administration, anyone working within the Federal-aid highway right-of-way must wear an ANSI class 2 or ANSI class 3 garment. In order to improve highway worker safety, the new FHWA rule states that ANSI class 1 and NON-ANSI garments are no longer acceptable. Moreover, new ANSI/ISEA 207-2006 rules apply to public safety workers.

SafetyVests.com sells a large selection of ANSI class II and class III safety vests, as well as ANSI 207 public safety vests. Note that new ANSI 207 vests to not meet ANSI 107-2004 specifications for reflective and high visibility square inch material.

Order ANSI vests online or call 1-877-899-SAFE. SafetyVests.com also offers custom printing. Add your logo and save money today.
