Local companies awarded for workplace health and safety

Three Langley companies and a Langley resident were recognized on Wednesday at the 2006 Safety Forum & Awards Luncheon at Newlands Golf and Country Club, for their outstanding promotion of workplace health and safety.



Rempel Brothers Concrete Ltd., Deere Hitachi Specialty Products, Fraser Canyon Truck Safety Review Committee — B.C. Trucking Association, and Chris Fletcher of Langley received four of the 29 awards.



“We’re reminded that safe workplaces and safe working habits require a commitment from everyone in the workplace,” said Labour and Citizen’s Services Minister Olga llich. “I congratulate the winners on demonstrating leadership and innovation in conveying to all employees the importance of safe practices and healthy lifestyles.”
