IOSH: Flexibility Is The Key To Fairness
IOSH (Institution of
Occupational Safety and Health) has called for employers to be flexible
and fair towards employees either suffering or recovering from serious
illness.
The call follows the
Disability Discrimination Commission finding that workers with cancer
are being discriminated against at work, despite strengthening of the
Disability Discrimination Act in December last year, giving legal
protection to those suffering cancer, HIV and Multiple Sclerosis from
the time of diagnosis.
